Amplifying Voices, Sparking Change

Welcome to Brown Sugar Talk!

Brown Sugar Talk is a labour of love that was created in 2020 amidst a global pandemic and an urgent anti-racism movement. It’s a raw, real, and respectful platform dedicated to exploring race and cross-cultural topics in our society.

This project emerged from my desire to spark deep conversations while amplifying marginalized voices that lead to meaningful change, starting at the community level. Running until 2022, Brown Sugar Talk quickly became a vital space for open, vulnerable and honest conversations.

After taking a break to focus on my career, I’m thrilled to return with some occasional episodes!

Brown Sugar Talk has been instrumental in shaping my career, guiding me to the work I’m passionate about today. I’ll always be grateful for helping me discover my true calling.
